Release Information

Changes to the Client Questionnaire – Will & Financial Advice Referrals

Customers can now capture additional business, whilst helping their clients with will & mortgage referrals when using the LB Connect onboarding module.

Benefits include:

  • Automated email notifications – When a client completes the “Client Questionnaire”, specific questions will determine if they require advice on preparation of a will, or if there is a need for financial advice. Information is subsequently shared in real-time.

  • Configurable email options – Details can be passed to internal or external partners to ensure they are immediately actioned.

  • Client Retention and Upsell (ÂŁ) – An additional point for client stickiness as well as surfacing up new opportunities to sell additional products. This would increase the lifetime value of the client through growth of the firms will bank, whilst also ensuring the client receives the right level of service.

Notifications and emails

We’ve now made it so that law firms and individual users can easily define what emails and notifications they want to receive as well as how they receive them.

We aim to enable our users to take control of their workflows with customizable tasks, stages, and notifications to easily personalize the way they work.

You can now:

  • Control which emails/notifications are being sent.

  • Create bespoke matter/task templates.

  • Create bespoke case lifecycle stages.

  • Group tasks or notifications together.

  • Easily add, remove, edit tasks, with drag and drop sorting.

  • Create the workflows and journeys you need.

Changes to how you log in to Legal Bricks

This evolution marks a significant step forward that will further allow us to deliver the next generation of Access products and enhance your overall software experience.

As we are preparing for this exciting transition, we are taking the steps required to enable a seamless and efficient experience for you, and the first step is migrating user accounts. This means you will have a different login page, from the one you have been used to so far.

In the coming weeks, you will be prompted to embark on this journey with us, by simply following instructions that will guide you to the new product login page.

We expect the transition to be quick and simple, taking less than 2 minutes to complete.

By transitioning to the new Access account, you will be set up to benefit from: 

  • Single Sign On (for Access EVO products): Use a single login to seamlessly access Legal Bricks and any other Access EVO solutions you have licensed within the Access Group portfolio, providing a streamlined experience across the products, tools and features available to you.

  • Enhanced Security: Benefit from increased account security, ensuring your data remains protected with advanced encryption and authentication processes. 

  • Future innovation: Having the products you love benefit from future innovation and cross product synergy.

More information will follow as we move closer to roll-out.

HMLR & HMRC integration updates

Legal Bricks now provides Post Completion as part of the end-to-end conveyancing journey.

  • Improved productivity – Pre-populated SDLT and AP1 forms using client and quote data.

  • Enhanced accuracy – Form validation, clear system warnings, and Land Registry authentication on certain data points.

  • Reduced requisitions – Clear concise updates, email or system notification alerts, and simplified process through a single solution.

  • Simplified Approach – Forms saved/updated in real-time, meaning the process is started as soon as the case opens.

  • Seamless integration to HMLR Business Gateway and HMRC (SDLT).

  • Ability to directly complete AP1, OS1, OS2, and K16 searches using stored LR-BG credentials.

New status update for Access Legal

We're pleased to announce that we've recently rolled out a new application status page and customer notification tool. This upgrade features enhanced views and improved communication to better serve your needs.

The dashboard enables you to:

  • Register for product alerts for new events and updates created on the status dashboard, for example, high-priority incidents. You can register for alerts on the dashboard itself.

  • Receive alerts and updates for planned scheduled maintenance work.

  • Have a central view of current and historical events.

  • Receive updates as we share any root cause and prevention measures.

If you are currently subscribed to our existing tool, there is no action required on your part. We will automatically transition your subscription to the new tool. You can expect to receive the same level of communication as before; however, please note that the links to the status page and the page itself will have a refreshed look and feel.
