We're pleased to announce the July 2026 release for Legal Bricks, covering improvements across AML compliance, quoting, and platform security — alongside a range of targeted bug fixes.

AML / Compliance

AML Compliance Setting: Unverifiable Addresses A new organisation-level setting allows firms to reject addresses that cannot be verified during AML checks. Address verification accuracy has also been improved.

AML Check Improvements AML checks now allow additional time for due-diligence watchlist screening to complete before the order is finalised. This reduces the need to manually re-check orders where screening results were not yet available. Order dates on the case overview are now displayed in the correct format.

Quotations

International Address Country Selection When entering an international address, you can now select a specific country from a dropdown list rather than the generic 'International' option. This provides clearer and more accurate address records for international properties.

Client Portal Messaging Improvements The messaging area in the Client Portal has been redesigned. Conversations are now accessible via a side panel for easier navigation, the New Message button is more prominent, message appearance has been refreshed, and the interface now works correctly on mobile devices.

Referrer Portal: Updated Quote Generation Forms The Referrer Portal quote generation forms have been updated with modernised input controls and a new standardised phone number input for a more consistent experience.

Performance, Stability & Security

This release includes a number of improvements to platform security, reliability, and performance. These changes work in the background to keep your data safe and the platform running smoothly.

Enhanced File Upload Security Uploaded files are now automatically scanned for viruses and malware before being stored. If a file is found to be infected, it will be rejected and the user notified.

Security Patches Applied updates addressing known security vulnerabilities across the platform.

System Monitoring Health monitoring has been added across all application services for faster detection and resolution of any issues.

Bug Fixes

  • Previous address details not retained during identity checks.

  • AML orders failing when expired passport submitted.

  • Certain property addresses not verified correctly during lookups.

  • Sale and purchase prices not displayed on quote overview.

  • Validation messages not shown on Home Report incomplete submission.

  • Data loss on quote back navigation; address entry and field indicator fixes.

  • Referrer Portal error messages not displaying; Edit Details inaccessible for some users.

  • Case management form responsiveness and fee earner tracking filter issues resolved.
