September 2026 Release Notes

Continued reliability improvements across the platform, plus smarter search ordering and case notifications.

Written by Nikko Liceralde

We're pleased to announce the September 2026 release for Legal Bricks, focusing on clearer visibility into search ordering, more predictable case notifications, and a range of platform reliability improvements.

What's new

Searches

Individual prices shown in search bundles When ordering searches, bundles now show the individual price of each product they contain, giving clearer visibility of what makes up the total cost. Note: Figure below is an example.

Case Management

Case update emails now reach everyone following a case Case notifications are now driven by the people watching a case — everyone watching receives case updates, and task, stage and group completion emails, giving a single, predictable place to control notifications.

Expected date notifications improved An email is now sent as soon as an expected date is first set for a document, not just when it changes, and change emails now show the reason for the change alongside the previous date.

Performance, Stability & Security

Performance, stability and security We've made a number of behind-the-scenes improvements this release to strengthen reliability across the Client, Referrer and Solicitor portals, the online quote tool, and case-related services such as appointments, invoices and questionnaires. We've also added comprehensive HTTP security headers across the application and updated several third-party components to address published security vulnerabilities. There is no change to how you use the platform.

Bug fixes

This release also includes a number of targeted fixes:

  • Partner sign-in – Search orders raised from connected third-party systems now open reliably in a new tab with a more secure, short-lived sign-in handover.

  • Referrer quotes – Referral fee options now load correctly on referrer-initiated quotes, including those covering more than one matter.

  • Task completion emails – Attachments are now correctly included on task completion emails for all organisations.
