April 2026 Release Notes

This release improves SDLT tax calculations with manual override capability, adds AML and ID order tracking with downloadable reports in LB Law, and enables client detail updates post-instruction for firms with case management system integration.

This update includes:

Land Registry

Auto-populate SIM – SIM (Search of the Index Map) contact and search details are now automatically populated when ordering through the Land Registry API, eliminating the need for manual entry and speeding up the ordering process.

Post Completion

SDLT Tax Calculation Improvements – Users can now manually override SDLT calculations, and we have resolved an issue where automatic calculations were visible for leasehold transaction types. The SDLT Vendor Agent list display has also been corrected.

Risk & Compliance

AML & ID Order Tracking Screen – A new tracking screen for AML and ID orders has been added to LB Law, with the ability to download reports directly. This provides solicitors with a consolidated view of compliance order status and supporting documentation.

General

  • Related Case History Toggle – A new "Include Related Case History" toggle has been added, allowing users to view history across linked matters for a more complete picture of case activity.

  • Client Details Update Post-Instruction – Users with CMS integration enabled can now update client details in Legal Bricks after instruction, removing the previous restriction that locked client information once a case was instructed.

  • Fee Earner and Case Assistant Sorting – Fee earners and case assistants are now sorted alphabetically on the case settings selector, making it easier to find the right team member.

Key Bug Fixes

  • Shared Ownership Quote Fix – Resolved an issue where selecting "Shared Ownership" incorrectly disabled the Generate button, preventing quote creation.

  • AP1 Pages and Filtering – Fixed pagination and filtering issues on the AP1 tracking screen.

  • AP1 Submission – Resolved an issue preventing AP1 submission for specific cases.

  • Fee Scale Updates – Fixed an issue where updates to fee scales were not pulling through to quotes.

  • Quote Display – Resolved issues where the quote page was not showing house prices and where the purchase address header was missing on sale and purchase quotes.

  • Client Questionnaire – Fixed missing buttons preventing clients from submitting and signing forms.

  • Client Care Letter – Resolved an issue where the Client Care Letter was not pulling through data from the quote.

  • Identity Checks – Fixed issues preventing biometric checks from being ordered for international addresses and from the client section.

  • Dark Mode – Corrected various visibility issues in dark mode across confirmation pages, SDLT messages, insurance order summaries, and search order address entry.

  • Security Patches – Applied critical dependency updates addressing multiple CVEs.
